On Wednesday, June 10th at 4:00 pm, Muriel Berger (and Bessie Ridley) will present a scholarship to Melissa Backstrom, a student at Riverside Community College (RCC). Melissa returned to college to get her degree and she majored in biology. She plans to continue her education and get her nursing degree.
The branch had given the money for a scholarship to RCC several years ago, but for some reason, it was never awarded and we are very pleased that it will be awarded now.
