Sotomeyer Hearings
Judge Sonia Sotomayor's confirmation hearings with the Senate Judiciary Committee are set to begin tomorrow, July 13. The hearing is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. ET, with Judge Sotomayor expected to give her opening statement at approximately 2 p.m ET. The hearings are expected to continue for several days, and will include testimony from several witnesses. If confirmed, Judge Sotomayor will become the first Hispanic and only the third woman Supreme Court justice.
